How to download a TikTok video
Updated
Copy the TikTok link, paste it into the downloader, and click Download next to the quality you want.
On a phone
- Open the video in the TikTok app and tap Share.
- Tap Copy link.
- Open the downloader in your browser and paste into the link field. Pasting the whole share message is fine; the link is picked out of it.
- Tap Fetch video, then Download next to the quality you want. 480p is always listed.
On iPhone, downloaded videos go to the Files app (Downloads folder) by default; from there you can save them to Photos. On Android they appear in the Downloads folder or your gallery, depending on the browser.
On a computer
- Open the video on tiktok.com and copy the address from the address bar. It looks like tiktok.com/@username/video/1234….
- Paste it into the downloader and click Fetch video.
- Choose a quality. Most browsers save the file straight away; if yours opens the video in a new tab instead, use its Download or Save option there.
Choosing a quality
480p is ready immediately and is the smallest file. When this site offers higher qualities, they are listed next to it and created when you click them, so the first click takes a few seconds. They are only sharper if the original upload was.
If it doesn’t work
- Check the post is public. Private, deleted and region-restricted videos can’t be downloaded.
- Make sure the link points to one video, not a profile, sound or hashtag page.
- If a download button stops working after a while, paste the link again: download links are time-limited.
