TikTok Transcript Downloader

Extract and copy a TikTok video’s transcript from its captions.

Paste a link to a TikTok video — or the whole share text. Only posts with captions have a transcript.

What you can download

  • Text

Copy to clipboard or download as .txt

  • Timestamps

Shown per line when the captions include timing

  • Subtitle files

.srt and .vtt when every caption has usable timing

How it works

  1. Step 1: Paste a video link

Any public TikTok video with captions.

  2. Step 2: Read or copy

The full text appears with Copy and Download buttons.

  3. Step 3: Check the timing

Open “Show with timestamps” to see when each line is spoken.

Where the transcript comes from

The text is taken from the captions TikTok already has for the video — auto-captions or captions added by the creator. Nothing is transcribed from the audio here, so a video without captions has no transcript.

Auto-captions can mishear words, names and slang. For quotes, check against the video.

Languages

The page lists the caption tracks TikTok reports for the post, such as an auto-caption track and machine translations. One transcript is returned per post, so extra languages are listed but can’t be downloaded separately.

Questions

Why does a video say it has no captions?
The transcript comes from TikTok’s captions. Videos without speech, or where captions weren’t generated, have none. More in why a transcript may be unavailable.
Can I get subtitle files?
Yes, when the captions have timing. The subtitle downloader puts the SRT and VTT files first.
