How it works
Step 1: Paste a video link
The video needs captions on TikTok.
Step 2: Review the timed captions
Each line is listed with its start time.
Step 3: Download SRT or VTT
Files are named tiktok-<post id>-subtitles.srt or .vtt.
When subtitle files are offered
SRT and VTT need a start and end time for every line. They are only offered when the caption timing TikTok provides is complete and in order; otherwise you get the plain text and a note explaining why. Times are never guessed.
Using the files
- Most editors import SRT directly next to the video file.
- VTT is the format web players and the HTML <track> element expect.
- The timing matches the TikTok post, so pair the file with the same video.

Questions
- Is this the same data as the transcript tool?
- Yes. Both read the same captions; this page just shows the timed lines and subtitle files first. The transcript downloader shows the full text first.
- Can I choose the subtitle language?
- Not yet. The available caption tracks are listed, but one set of captions is returned per post.
